The female body has been an important theme in art history and a constant selling point in commercial art, and the male gaze has dominated the field. In this body of work, I want to discuss how this male gaze defines beauty and shapes women's perceptions of their own bodies; how do I see my body as a someone who does not fit the beauty standard. I was inspired by the sculpture artist Alina Szapocznikow and photographer Juno Calypso.
